About H1BSponsorData

Our Mission

H1BSponsorData provides free, comprehensive access to H1B visa data to help workers, employers, and researchers understand the H1B visa landscape. We believe transparency in immigration data benefits everyone involved in the process.

Data Sources

Our database combines data from multiple official U.S. government sources:

Methodology

We process raw government data through a multi-step pipeline:

  1. Import — Raw LCA, USCIS, PERM, and BLS data files are imported and normalized.
  2. Normalization — Employer names are standardized (removing suffixes like Inc, LLC, Corp), SOC codes are mapped to current classifications, and locations are geocoded.
  3. Aggregation — Data is pre-aggregated into optimized tables for fast querying: employers, occupations, cities, states, industries, and cross-reference tables.
  4. Enrichment — H1B salary data is compared against BLS median wages to provide market context.

Data Freshness

Our data is updated quarterly when the Department of Labor releases new LCA disclosure files. The database currently covers fiscal years from FY2015 to the most recent quarter available.
